Title of Artwork:

  1. What common themes of style does this artist's work have (in all the images)? All of the images have something to do with technology. 
  2. What common themes in the topic or message does the artist's work have (in all the images)? They are all very colorful and the colors come together to make a blend that looks nice.
  3. Describe weather you think Duerden's art is mostly photographic or digitally illustrated. How does it fit these two aspects together? Its mostly digitally illustrated because it looks like it was created off of the computer. 
  4. What stood out the most when you first saw this image was... the colors and the way they came together.
  5. This drew my attention because... one color came from the phone and one color came from the person. 
  6. As I keep looking, what also seemed important was... the connection of technology to people. 
  7. The thing I mentioned in number 4 seems important because... it explains the theme for this piece of art.
  8. How is contrasting light or color used in the composition? The colors are used to bring the object and the person together. 
  9. What directs your attention from one point to another in the image? All of the things that are inside the colors
  10. What seems to be hiding in this composition, parts of the image, themes, messages, etc.? Some of the other technology seems to be hiding in the artwork.
  11. Why do you think this was partially hidden? It was probably hidden so that you can check out the image more.
  12. In a paragraph describe the main idea of what this artwork. What underlying message seems to be communicated. What is it designed to communicate or make you feel? I think the message is that humans are becoming real connected to their phones and ipods. Its probably to show how cool we think they are.

Artist Name:Rockfield Pablo Jeffer Da Silva

  1. What common themes of style does this artist's work have (in all the images)? Most of his pictures seem seductive in a way. They all were created by adobe illustrator. 
  2. What common themes in the topic or message does the artist's work have (in all the images)? His pictures are really colorful and they all are seductive. Except for one where it looks like the person is dancing.
  3. (Hour 1 Students Only) Describe the features that make it clear that Da Silva's work is vector art and often created using Adobe Illustrator. They look like they are line drawings which tells you they were made by illustrator. 
  4. What stood out the most when you first saw this image was... the girl was laying in the ocean staring. When I made it bigger more of the images features came clearer to me. Also the color of her eyes drew me to this picture.
  5. This drew my attention because...it was different from most of the other drawings that I see. 
  6. As I keep looking, what also seemed important was...The things that were in the ocean came more clearer. All the details became clearer also. 
  7. The thing I mentioned in number 4 seems important because...it kind of lets you know what he was talking about in the title. 
  8. How is contrasting light or color used in the composition?He uses the sun behind the head to show off some of the light. He uses pink in this photo alot also. 
  9. What directs your attention from one point to another in the image?As you look at the beach more, you see more details. 
  10. What seems to be hiding in this composition, parts of the image, themes, messages, etc.? The theme for some people will be hidden in this photo.
  11. Why do you think this was partially hidden?The artist wants you to think about what the possible  themes could be.
  12. In a paragraph describe the main idea of what this artwork. What underlying message seems to be communicated. What is it designed to communicate or make you feel?
    (5 points - answer in a paragraph) This photo is trying to get a message out. I dont know what the message is, but the theme is seduction. It seems to be the big idea in all his photos.

  1. What common themes of style does this artist's work have (in all the images)? Most of his pictures have some red in it, and they also deal with the presidential candidate Barack Obama. They are also vectors.
  2. What common themes in the topic or message does the artist's work have (in all the images)? Most of these pictures have to do with the war or the military.

  3. (Hour 1 Students Only) Describe the features that make it clear that Shepard Fairy's work is vector art and often created using Adobe Illustrator. His lines look like they have been created by Adobe Illustrator. The way he draws the eyes of some of his characters lets me know it was created in Adobe. 
  4. What stood out the most when you first saw this image was...
    . that she had little s's under her eyes.  
  5. This drew my attention because... I liked the color scheme in this picture. Also I saw the tiny skulls in her eyes.

  6. As I keep looking, what also seemed important was... all the features he added to the face to make it look better.
  7. The thing I mentioned in number 4 seems important because... he added his own piece of character into this photo.
  8. How is contrasting light or color used in the composition?He uses color to make the picture look more eye catching.
  9. What directs your attention from one point to another in the image? The way he uses the colors to draw the same face maybe to symbolize difference.
  10. What seems to be hiding in this composition, parts of the image, themes, messages, etc.? The message seems to be hidden in this picture. The theme also is hidden.
  11. Why do you think this was partially hidden? I think it was hidden so that you can really think about what the theme is.
  12. In a paragraph describe the main idea of this artwork. What underlying message seems to be communicated. What is it designed to communicate or make you feel? I think the main idea of this artwork is to make you think of what the theme is. I don't really know what the theme of this picture is.
